Starting your yatra from Rishikesh

Rishikesh is a popular starting point for travellers who want to combine Chardham with a day or two of yoga and meditation. We pick you up from any ashram, hotel, or guest house, and your journey begins with the evening Ganga aarti at Triveni Ghat or Parmarth Niketan.

Rishikesh is 25 km from Haridwar — the route is almost identical, with just a slightly longer first-day drive.

Why pick Rishikesh as your starting point?

  • Combine yoga retreat with sacred yatra
  • Evening Ganga aarti at Triveni Ghat before you start
  • Optional river rafting / Rishikesh sightseeing day included
  • Slightly quieter than Haridwar, often better hotel prices

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book?

For May-June and October (peak season), book 2-3 months in advance. Other months, 2-4 weeks is fine. We confirm with 25% advance.

Can I customise the 10-day itinerary?

Yes. You can add days for sightseeing (Auli, Triyuginarayan, Kalimath, etc.), upgrade hotels, add helicopter for Kedarnath, or start from a different city. WhatsApp us with your preferences.

Is this suitable for senior citizens?

Yes. We plan shorter driving days for senior groups, book hotels closer to temples, and can arrange palki/pony/helicopter for Kedarnath and Yamunotri. Tell us the age of your group when enquiring.

What if it rains during my yatra?

Monsoon (July-August) has frequent landslides and we discourage travel. For April-June and September-October, rain is rare. If any road is blocked, we adjust the route or add rest days. Full support throughout.
